The Shettys take their training very seriously

Athiya Shetty is one of the most talked about young actresses in B-town at the moment. She made her debut with Suraj Pancholi’s Hero and is now seen around many celeb parties now and then. Athiya Shetty is also well known for being a complete fashionista. She has even been compared to Sonam Kapoor a few times. But here is a side of the young actress that you would have never seen before, all thanks to her dad, Sunil Shetty, who is one of the biggest fitness buffs in the industry.

Sunil Shetty is one of the fittest actors around. A lot of discipline and training that has gone into the physique he has at 54. He has also inculcated that in his two children Athiya and Ahaan Shetty. Sunil says that he’s very much part of both his children’s martial arts training which is being imparted by Chief Commando trainer Grandmaster Shifuji Shaurya Bharadwaj. He says, “Ahaan has been training under him since he was 12 years old and is one of the most disciplined boys today — he is humble and knows his strengths. I have always wanted a guru-shishya relationship for my children with their trainer as it’s one of immense respect. Athiya has started training under him for the last six months and her training is more hard-core — specialising in weapons like knives, swords and guns.”

Does this mean that we will get to see Athiya someday in an action film, putting her skills to use? Let’s hope so!
